Location and surroundings

Lake Constance is one of the most popular holiday regions in the south of Germany. On the north shore, orchards reach almost to the water, and on clear days the mountains appear in the background. The climate is mild, and the lake stores the warmth of summer well into autumn.

We are planning the camp right on the lake, with short ways to shallow swimming spots. Children can splash there safely, while adults swim further out. The meadows around the site offer plenty of room to play, and the nearby villages have ice cream parlours, farm shops and markets.

The area is well developed. Friedrichshafen is approx. 30 minutes away, Konstanz approx. 40 minutes. That makes the camp a good base for day trips without having to be on the move every day.

Accommodation

On Lake Constance you can choose between five types of accommodation. Pitch S is designed for up to two people, Pitch L for up to four and Pitch XL for up to six, for example with a caravan or a large family tent. The glamping tent offers real beds for up to four people, and the tiny house is meant for up to three people and has its own bathroom. Electricity is included at all pitches.

Dogs are welcome. Just let us know with your request and we will confirm it for your accommodation.

What you can do here

For families the camp is meant as a base for days on the water and on the bike:

  • Swimming: The swimming spots on the north shore slope gently. In high summer the water warms up noticeably and is well suited to children.
  • Cycling: A well-built cycle path leads around the lake and can be ridden in stages. Many sections are flat and suitable for children.
  • Orchards and farm shops: Apples, pears and berries grow in the surroundings. You can buy fresh fruit, juice and jam straight from the farm.
  • Sailing and paddling: Boats can be rented on the shore, from stand-up paddle boards to small sailing boats. There are courses for beginners.
  • Day trips: Palaces, islands, museums and animal parks are close by. When it rains, the airship and hands-on museums are a good choice.
  • Hiking: Behind the shore the land rises gently. Trails lead through orchards and forest, with wide views across the lake.

Best time to visit

From June to September the lake is warm enough for swimming, and the days are long. During school holidays the shore is lively, outside them it is quieter. In May the fruit trees blossom, in September the fruit ripens and the evenings turn mild.

The camp is expected to open in spring and close in autumn. We will announce the exact dates before opening.

Getting there

By car you reach the camp from Friedrichshafen in approx. 0:30 h, from Konstanz in approx. 0:40 h and from Lindau in approx. 1:00 h.
